Vizrt Plugins, Tools

The vizrt plugins, tools folder contains many plugins that will help with your scene design and functionality. Each video below shows you every individual plugin found in within the folder and how to use each one. Vizrt Plugins, tools folder contains functions that will make your life easier.

24 HMS

The 24 H.M.S. function is another way to create a clock with in Vizrt Artist. This video tutorial shows you how to set it up.

Advanced Counter

The advanced counter allows you to create counting animations. This plugin acts like the Counter Plugin itself but gives you more functions.

Auto Follow

The Auto Follow function allows an element to follow another element. Set the variables on the X and Y, having one container follow another container. This sometimes complicated plugin requires some experimentation with the different settings within the editor itself. This video introduces you to the plugin and shows you how to set it up to use in a scene.

Auto Rotate

The Auto Rotate function will let you automatically rotate a primitive with out setting any keyframes. Using this plugin you can create a looping rotation with one click.

Cloner

This function allows one to make many copies or clones of a container. Arrange the clones with a choice of matrix, elipse or sphere. Watch this video for the explanation.

Colorize

Use the colorize function to re-color sets of objects. In this video we set up the colorize plugin with a parliament plugin so we can change the color of the containers over time.

Counter

The Counter function allows you to key-frame a count. Have an number start at one integer and have it count up or down to another integer. This video shows you all the options.

Heartbeat

The Heartbeat plugin automatically creates a swinging scale animation when dropped on an object. But through the editor one can choose different parameters to animate. Instead of having the scaling animate, you can have the opacity animate instead. There is also a setting for the animation length as well. Watch the video and see all the different settings.

Image Link

The Image Link function lets you drag containers into the editor to link up images. Once you replace an image on a container the linked images follow suit. Watch the movie to see how this function will save you time.

Jack

The Jack, stands for ” just another clock”. With options to change hours, minutes, seconds and formats this plugin is a quick and useful way to create clocks.

Magnify

The Magnify plugin acts like a magnifying glass. You can use this with an image and magnify parts of that image. This video goes in depth to show you exactly how you set it up and how you can use it.

Max Size

The Max Size function lets you set a maximum width for a text box. Useful for any scene that will be used for a template. This video explains how to set it up.

Max Size Lines

The Maxsize Line function is a lot like the Max Size function itself except this plugin can be used on a top level group. This video will explain more.

Omo

The Omo plugin can be used to create an animated image sequence and can also be used to switch containers on and off. This versatile plugin can be used on objects, images, fonts or grouped containers. This video explains more.

Parlament

The Parlament function copies containers and arranges those containers in an arch pattern. This video explains how to set up and make use of the Parlament function.

Pathfinder

Using this plugin you can automatically generate an animation or keyframes based on the settings. By using this plugin on an object you can create a an animation path without setting any keyframes automatically. The video shows you all the different settings available in the Path Finder plugin and also shows you how to adjust the path and animation manually.

Slideshow

The slideshow plugin allows you to take several images and make a slideshow from them. There are variable within the slideshow editor that you can adjust to change the animation and position.

System Time

The System Time function converts a font container into a clock. The clock comes from the system time on the computer. With the different settings within this plugin, you can add variables such as dates, days and months. Watch the video to learn how to set this clock up.

Temo

The Temo plugin allows you to create an animated image sequence by using one tiled image. This image has to be set up in the proper format, then the Temo plugin will read each individual image. Watch the video to see how it is done.

TextBG

The TextBG function allows a primitive to grow with a line of text. The video shows you how you can utilize this function.

Text Link

The Text Link function lets you link font containers together so when you type in one line of text, the others update with it. This video shows you how to set it up.

Text Parameter

The Text Parameters plugin allows you to modify fonts with variable such as kerning, word spacing and shadows. Though some of these same functions can be found in the font editor, this plugin may be another option for you when it comes to designing with fonts.

Object Zoom

You can use this plug-in to help zoom or move an object with setting key-frames. This video takes you through the different settings in the Object Zoom editor. This is often an overlooked but helpful function found in the vizrt plugins, tools folder.
