Vizrt Design Tutorial One

Welcome to the Vizrt design tutorial one for Vizrt Artist. This twelve part video series walks you through the design of several graphics including a lower third, a live bug, a news banner, a full page and an OTS graphic. The tutorial gives a great overview of how to actually design and animate in Vizrt Artist using the built in tools.

In the Vizrt Design Tutorial One, you'll learn how to: create textures (in Photoshop) to use in Vizrt Artist, create a lower third graphic, create a live bug, create a news banner graphic, create a full page graphic, create and animate an over the shoulder graphic.

Introduction to Vizrt Artist and Vizrt Trio

This video shows you parts of the user interface of Vizrt Artist. It explains the 4-quadrant system of the Vizrt Artist software and various tabs and drop downs through out the user interface. There is an explanation of the container icons and editing windows

Creating Textures in Photoshop

This video starts us from the absolute beginning: before we even go into Vizrt Artist. First we must create images or textures to use within our project. This video shows you how to prepare and save images for use in Vizrt Artist.

Lower Third Design

This video reviews a lot of information, but starts us out in the very beginning of the design process. In this video you’ll work with the noggi primitive and image editing window to develop the look. This video will also show you how to use the MaxSize plugin.

Lower Third Animation

Now that you have your lower third designed: it’s time to animate it. This video walks you through step by step in setting keyframes and stop points while working in the stage.

Live Bug Design & Animation

This vizrt design video quickly walks you through designing a live upper left bug in the same look as the previous tutorial.

News Banner Design

This video continues the design process by building out a news banner in which we can swap the text out. It first focuses on the design of the news banner before adding any type of animation.

News Banner Animation

This video focuses on animating the news banner we designed in the previous tutorial. You’ll learn about setting keyframes, stop points and control plugins to set this scene up to play back in Vizrt Trio.

Full Page Design

This video will teach you how to design a full page graphic using built-in objects. It uses the images that we made in the video 2 to match our look. This video lays out the design and the next video animates the design.

Full Page Animation

This video takes what we built in the previous video and animates the parts on. This video will cover topics such as keyframing, looping animations, stop points and directors.

OTS Design

This video shows you how to design an over the shoulder graphic using built in primitives and the textures from the previous tutorials.

OTS Animation

Now that you have the OTS designed; it’s time to animate it. This video walks you through setting keyframes to animate each OTS element on.

Vizrt Trio

Now that all of your graphics are designed and animated, it’s time to play them out in Vizrt Trio. This video begins by giving you an overview of Vizrt Trio. It shows you the user interface and basic functionality of Vizrt Trio. This tutorial will also show you how to import your graphics, change them, save them and play them out.
